Here are some interesting “In the News” articles, enjoy!
New Zealand is planning to outlaw smoking for the next generation so they will never be legally able to buy tobacco in the country. Under proposed new legislation, the legal age of eighteen for buying tobacco will be raised progressively, Associate Health Minister Dr. Ayesha Verrall said at a news conference Thursday. The government plans to put the bill before Parliament in 2022.
Alongside the proposed law, the government will prioritize “practical support measures” for smokers to help them quit, Verrall added. The legislation does not cover vaping, which remains popular among young people in New Zealand. In a survey among people who vape, 57% felt it was having an adverse effect on their health.
Pediatric Hypnosis: Dr. Anbar is a leader in clinical hypnosis with children and his 25 years of experience have allowed him to successfully treat over 7,000 children. Hypnosis is remarkably effective with children. They have a wonderful imagination and are hypnotized quite quickly once you have their attention. He is the author of the new book Changing Children’s Lives with Hypnosis: A Journey to the Center.
Hunger, Excess weight: Is the hunger coming from emotional needs and not real hunger pangs? Stress? Anxiety? A reward? Frustration? Tastes so good? To avoid stepping out on my partner? The baby I never had? Weight as protection from something? Overweight to avoid something? Need for oral satisfaction? Boredom?
Taking mature responsibility and action with a personal commitment is a good plan, but if the cause is coming from your subconscious mind, hypnosis is the answer. If the thinking conscious mind does not give enough self-control or mental discipline along with will power, you need to use subconscious power. You gain control and mental mastery with hypnosis because your subconscious mind works with and for you, instead of against you. You can learn to satisfy those old needs in new healthy ways and learn how to respond only to real hunger. Hypnosis helps by in person sessions or by using hypnosis recordings to change beliefs, habits, reduce stress and anxiety, raise self-esteem, and much more.
Four Season’s Hotel, Downtown New York: Resident hypnotist Nicole Hernandez is offering a wellness experience for $285 (U.S.) per hour or a 4-hour Time Traveller Experience for $1050 (U.S.) which is extremely popular with hotel guests for self-development and habit change. This TTE starts with a private infrared sauna and LED chromotherapy lighting for healthy sleep, reduced muscle tension and endorphin release; full-body salt exfoliation to eliminate toxins; massage for deep relaxation and restful sleep, followed by past life regression to access memories of another lifetime. The goal of the past life regression is to gain insightful help for the current lifetime, for a more meaningful and fulfilling life in our present. Hernandez claims this helps to identify patterns in previous lives that may be impacting you now and clarify the way to change behavior and habits not serving you. People often book appointments in pairs to discuss their individual experiences. Hernandez, also called the Travelling Hypnotist has sold out the events at numerous Four Season Hotels.
HypnoVR, digital therapies to manage pain and stress: 4.5 million pounds have been raised through European investors. The funds will allow HypnoVR to accelerate the adoption of its virtual reality-based medical hypnosis solution globally.
Founded by Dr. Denis Graff and Dr. Chloé Chauvin, both anaesthetists and hypnotherapists, and Nicolas Schaettel, an entrepreneur, HypnoVR has developed a digital therapy combining clinically validated medical hypnosis and Immersive Virtual Reality (IVR). It is currently used as a form of non-pharmacological anaesthesia to diminish sensations of pain, anxiety, and general discomfort during medical procedures, helping to reduce the use of sedative and anxiolytic drugs and the side-effects they cause in patients.
HypnoVR’s brings a personalised experience via a virtual reality headset programmed according to the needs of each patient; is used in operating rooms to reduce pain and anxiety during anaesthesia procedures and in numerous specialist medical fields such as private medical care, dental care, oncology, urology, gynaecology, and medical imagery.
It can also be used to help healthcare professionals manage their own stress better and improve quality of life and work. Currently more than 240 healthcare institutions across Europe use HypnoVR’s technology. In the coming years, hypnosis will become increasingly accepted by health professionals and the public as a valuable medical tool.
Hypnosis, Self-Hypnosis Treating Fear of Needles: Research reveals up to 25% of people have a fear of needles. This fear prevents many people who want a vaccine from getting it. If they do go for it, they may experience stress related responses such as fainting, increased heart rate, sweating, shortness of breath, stop breathing for a while, go white, shake, or experience extreme anxiety or a panic attack. Hypnosis is being used world-wide to help people to be calm, relaxed and to program a mental picture into their subconscious that getting the needle was a success and they felt happy about it. The subconscious is an emotional mind and does not know the difference between an imagined and real experience. What you imagine in hypnosis can become a new you by powerfully focusing upon what you do want, instead of what you do not want.
