How To Use The Power Of Your Mind To Lose Weight (Part 5)

IMAGINE YOURSELF AS SLIM.

Think back to how you once looked or think ahead to how you will look. Imagine that the future is now. Imagine yourself cycling on a bicycle, walking on a beach with heads turning in admiration of you, finding clothing on a store display rack that more easily fits to the body. Imagine the exact size, shape and contours you wish to have. Thin, trim, slim, and slender. Pause and think how you feel. So proud you are because you have already now attained your goal. Use all the senses. What do you see, hear, smell, around you? What feelings do you have on your skin, inside your body, and in your mind? Are you experiencing a particular taste?

IMAGINE YOURSELF AT THE TABLE, AT HOME, WORK, RESTAURANT, AT SOCIAL GATHERINGS.

Imagine and see yourself putting a small portion of food on your plate; putting a small portion on your fork or spoon; eating very, very, very slowly; chewing thoroughly; the feeling of food entering your stomach; the experience of a slightly BLOATED feeling. Think that you feel SO FULL, with small amounts of food. Remember the full feelings you’ve had in the past. As the food enters your stomach, imagine it expanding and bloating you. Imagine you feel so full with small amounts of food. Think about how you are in better health, you have more energy, you are lengthening your life, you are enhancing your self-appreciation. Imagine yourself pushing away, refusing, turning down greasy, fatty, fattening and sweet things at tables, social gatherings, sample foods in stores, etc.

Imagine yourself shopping for the right foods in a grocery store; a feeling of pride for refusing to buy unhealthy foods and how happy you feel as you travel down the aisles putting only nutritious foods into your cart.

Picture yourself leaving food on your plate and feeling glad about it. Perhaps you give it to someone else, save it for another day or throw it away. Concentrate on how it is better for the food to go to waste than to be wasted on your waist.

In general, concentrate on the idea that your self-control is steadily increasing; that you will find it EASY and EFFORTLESS to do whatever you should and ought to do; that your sensations to eat will grow weaker and weaker and that you will find it easy and effortless to follow your new sensible eating plan; that your will to diet and eat the right foods in small amounts will increase every day; that you will develop a liking for healthy foods and a disgust, distaste, dislike or hate for “junk” food. Perhaps junk food should be illegal. The goal is to know that you are in control of what you eat or do not eat.

Imagine others around you gorging and greedily swallowing all the food that they can get, while you feel satisfied eating small amounts, eating slowly. Imagine wondering why they behave as they do. Wonder why they are unable to do what you can easily and effortlessly accomplish.

Keep in mind that a good time to give yourself hypnotic instructions is before sleep. They spill over into the subconscious as you fall asleep and you follow them more strongly each day. Even more powerful is to turn your conscious mind off, stop thinking and just absorb the positive instructions from my recordings before you fall asleep.
