Keeping Resolutions

Today is World Hypnotism Day and it is that time of year when many people make resolutions. Unfortunately, most resolutions are never kept because most people have no user manual or training about how to tap into the power of their own mind. Everyone should have been taught these skills at a young age, but it is never too late to learn them.

Hypnosis is an extremely powerful and fast way to achieve success in dropping something (overeating, smoking, nail biting, drinking, gambling, watching TV, temper, etc.) or adding something (exercise, self-discipline to learn a new skill, drinking more water, self-love and self-esteem, taking time for more sleep, peace of mind and joy, etc.). Hypnosis can be hetero-hypnosis (hypnotized by a hypnotist), self-hypnosis (hypnotizing yourself) or using a hypnosis recording.

The reasons most people fail with their resolutions is they have never had the opportunity to acquire a proven success system and they do not take action to do something different. Most have heard the phrase “knowledge is power”, but that is only partly true. The knowledge must be followed by action.

If you want to keep your New Year Resolution, your conscious mind and will power usually are insufficient. This is because most of our choices, feelings and behavior are controlled by memories and beliefs stored in our subconscious mind. Incorrect or negative programming in your subconscious may sabotage you. However, this can be replaced with planned, positive, success mind programming. This is easy to do. Your subconscious is your operating system.

Just before you fall asleep and just after you awaken, you pass through a level of consciousness like hypnosis, so this is an ideal time to reprogram your subconscious mind for success. If you have not yet mastered self-hypnosis, the easiest way to program your mind is to listen to a hypnosis recording just before sleep and/or when you are beginning to awaken from sleep. It is that time where you are very relaxed, almost, but not quite asleep.

My Magical Hypnosis Session: When I do group hypnosis, if I focus on the session being a magical experience, invariably people will come up to me at the end of the seminar and say it was a magical experience, even if I never mention the word “magical”. We tend to draw and attract what we focus upon, what we believe is a certainty. This is the Power of Focused Intention and the Power of Belief. You see it, believe and achieve it.

Mind – Body Connection: There has recently been an explosion in the use of hypnosis by psychiatrists, psychologists, dentists, nurses and physicians in hospitals, counsellors and trained clinical hypnotherapists. Some common uses are pain control, control of blood flow, faster healing, irritable bowel syndrome, stress management, mood control, boosting the immune system, even removal of warts. There are hundreds of uses in these fields simply because mind influences body and body influences mind.

Help to Keep a New Year Resolution

When you go to sleep and again when you wake up, simply do the following: Take 3 long, slow, deep breaths, in through your nose and out through your mouth. Next, focus upon relaxing your body from your toes to the top of your head, one body part at a time. Take your time. Now focus upon seeing, picturing, visualizing your challenge solved, whether it is being free of tobacco; refusing certain foods and feeling full eating small portions; having long nails (no longer biting them); awakening when you wish to awaken feeling refreshed from a deep, sound sleep; being more relaxed speaking to a large group of people, or whatever 2021 Resolution you have chosen. Focus on the solution, the benefits, never the problem.  Focus on where you want to be, not where you do not want to go.

Using your imagination and positive, crystal clear lively imagery, hold the video movie in your mind of seeing yourself in your “mind’s eye” and everything going the way you want it to go. Repetition of the positive affirmations and visualizations continually increase the power of your own self-suggestion. A few people have a knack of doing this without any further instruction, but most need some help to master the method.

Successful and famous people throughout history have mastered this method. People like Dale Carnegie, Napoleon Hill, Norman Vincent Peale, etc. It is the essence of the law of attraction. It is used by celebrities, kings, businessmen, stars in sports and most who achieve greatness and attain their goals. Whatever we focus upon in a subconscious or hypnotic state, if done correctly, tends to manifest in success.

It is best to start using the system to accomplish small goals of mental discipline such as starting an exercise program with just a few minutes a day and building your way to longer periods of exercise. By succeeding with a simple task like drinking more water, you will build up your confidence to believe that success is certain. The greatest advantage of hypnosis is SUCCEEDING FASTER with what you used to consider tough challenges. Many psychologists now use hypnotherapy because the amount of time needed for their clients and patients to change their thinking, feelings and behavior for success is much shorter.

What you think the most about, you bring about. Where you place your awareness is where your energy goes. Are you putting out good energy? Focus your attention on the centre of your brain. Relax and see what you want in front of your eyes. Everything attracted is highly influenced by intention, attitude and beliefs.

By far the easiest way to accomplish success with most any resolution is using my hypnosis recordings. All you have to do is make yourself comfortable, either seated or lying down and simply listen to my voice.
